Help Owda's Family Escape the Gaza Conflict

Please read this as if I'm a member of your family . maybe your Brother, Son or a friend and as if my family who's under death now is yours.

I am a father of three wonderful children: Faten (11 years old), Reem (6 years old), and Mohammed (13 years old). My wife, Riham Hamza, is 37 years old, works as a teacher at the relief agency, and is five months pregnant. Due to the war conditions and the destruction of the school where she worked, she has lost her job.

We lived in the city of New Camp in Nuseirat until October 18th, when we received a phone call from a neighbor urging us to evacuate immediately due to threats from the Israeli army. We fled from one area to another until we ended up in a tent in Rafah. Our home in Nuseirat was completely destroyed.

Now, even Rafah is no longer safe. The occupation army is planning to invade and destroy it as well. The situation is dire, and all I can think about is getting my family out of Gaza to safety in Egypt, or possibly another Arab country. I want my children to continue their education and have the rights and opportunities that all children deserve.

Life in Gaza has become impossible. Homes, schools, hospitals, and roads have all been destroyed. We need to evacuate to ensure our safety and give our children a chance at a future. However, the cost of travel is exorbitant. Evacuating an adult to Egypt costs over $5,000, and for children under 16, it’s more than $2,500. These are estimated figures as exact costs are hard to determine, but they represent a significant financial burden that I cannot shoulder alone.
