Help my sister graduate MH Nurse Practitioner

My name is Anna Aimable a final-year master’s student, enrolled in the Mental Health/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Kingston, Jamaica, from September 2020. I have been a registered nurse for the past 9 years and worked at the forefront of the covid 19 pandemic. I became increasingly perturbed at the lack of mental health care services available during this time. This heightened awareness sparked my desire to pursue mental health nursing at the advance level which will enable me to apply in depth knowledge and skills in the field.
I am committed to continuous professional development hence the reason I relocated to Jamaica to pursue this program. This decision was made with the understanding that there would be significant challenges, financial and other wise, but I saw this not just as an investment in my own professional growth, but also as an opportunity to better equip myself to contribute to the further development of the Health Care sector in and Mental Health in particular.
I have exhausted all options for financial assistance hence this campaign. I have one semester left, set to complete in July of this year and my biggest worry is having to take a leave of absence and not completing the dream I set out in September 2020. The assistance will go towards tuition and living expenses for the duration of my studies. I don’t know what I can do to thank you, but I promise to become an even bigger advocate for mental health, and to give back a lot more than I have received. I would be most grateful for any assistance or accommodation which can be provided to me in this regard.
Warm regards
