Help our local nurse beat leukemia!

Taylor had not been feeling well the past two weeks. She went to the doctor for a routine checkup thinking she may have a cold or possibly even COVID due to being a nurse in the COVID unit in the ICU at the hospital she works at. She received a call from her doctor on July 26th, 2021 that her bloodwork came back with an elevated white blood cell count of 70,000 and platelets of 26. She was told to immediately go to the emergency department and undergo further testing. Within a few hours of receiving the news, it was discovered that she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Shortly after, she was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa city to get more answers as doctors told her that her case is severe and could not be put off.
As of July 27th, she has been admitted to the hospital for one month. All of this has been very sudden, confusing, and shocking to her and those around her. The bone marrow biopsy confirmed her diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She began her fight and received her first round of chemotherapy July 28th, 2021. The first round of chemotherapy is 7 continuous days with a combination of 3 IV chemo medications to attack the cancer head on. Taylor and her loved ones are very hopeful in the treatments being provided. If the treatments do not work, she will need to undergo a bone marrow transplant to completely rebuild her blood cells, which will extend her hospital stay and add to the financial hardship.
Her significant other, and life partner, Robert, has also had to suddenly stop work and take an extended leave in order to be by her side and fully support her through her journey. It is our hope that these funds will also help ease the cost of hotel stays, food, gas etc.
Taylor's top priority is her health and wellbeing which is why we are seeking assistance. Taylor will need round after round of chemotherapy treatments. These treatments are expensive and will require Taylor to stay in the hospital for an extended amount of time so any financial assistance at this time is greatly appreciated!!
