Help Pandetra and buy a virtual taxi ride !

This is Pandetra, Dek Ina and their son Candra. This Balinese family has many years of experience in tourism and know the island like the back of their hand. As a taxi driver, Pandetra can take you anywhere you like. Do you want to go watch the sunrise? No problem! Pandetra will pick you up with water and goodies in his car, so you’ll arrive at your destination in comfort.

Pandetra has been learning and improving his English significantly over the years, to keep in touch with some of his clients from all over the world, including me!

In 2020, disaster struck. Bali was utterly cut off from the world by COVID-19, leaving 90% of the population with no income or other means to provide for themselves. The Indonesian government does not support its people in the way a European government would. Without tourist, there are no clients. No clients means no income.

I’ve tried to help Pandetra and his family as best I can. Unfortunately, despite this he’s about to lose his car, just as the borders are reopening after 2.5 years. Our goal is to collect at least €4000 (5846 AUD/4394 USD) to ensure that Pandetra can pay off his loan by June so the bank can’t confiscate his car. Without this, his financial situation would be dire.

No car means no work. He’s sold everything he could sell to feed his wife and child, but it's getting more and more difficult. Candra is 5 years old and should go to school by now, but even that’s currently something they can’t afford.
