Our dad, Pete, has colon cancer again, first time in 2013.  Due to the nature of his cancer, stage 4 which has metastasized outside of his colon, he is seeking treatment through the Mayo Clinic out in Minnesota.  We are hoping to raise funds both for his traveling to another state, housing while there, and the treatments themselves, as his insurance is not accepted in another state.  The local doctors have started him on an intense chemotherapy regimen, as of October 2020.  He will be on three months of chemo in Michigan, at the end of the three months, he will be scanned to asses any change in his cancer.  At this time, the Mayo Clinic is scheduled to pick up our father's case in January 2021.  To begin any treatment at the Mayo Clinic, there is a $5,000 up front cost, along with his housing while receiving treatment in another state. These funds will help the family as my father had to "retire" from his business of owning a drywall company when he was first diagnosed in 2013.  At this time, the current plan is for my parents to move to Minnesota for the duration of our father's treatments, which will vary from more chemotherapy to newer techniques, and surgeries. Pete is 61 years young, an outdoorsmen who enjoys animals and nature.  He has a beautiful wife, four children, and five grandkids with another grandson expected in May 2021.  He enjoys spending time with his family, and would like to continue his weekly tradition of Sunday lunches with his family.  Thank you so much for taking the time to read and donate.  We appreciate any and all donations. ~Pete's kids and grandkids
