My name is Abdultawab Elrais, and I'm reaching out with a heavy yet hopeful heart on behalf of my cousin, Ibrahim Al-Rayes. Ibrahim's story is one of resilience, dreams, and an unwavering spirit amidst adversity faced in Gaza.

From the heart of Gaza Strip, Ibrahim has always been passionate about his craft—specializing in electrical work, he dreamt of running his own shop. This dream was a testament to his love for his profession and his desire to create a better future for his family. Sadly, just as his dream began to take shape, it was shattered by the devastating impacts of the Israeli aggression.

Five months ago, as many us see and know, war ravaged through Gaza, laying waste to Ibrahim's shop and the family home. The destruction didn't just claim bricks and mortar; it took away the sense of security, belonging, and hope. Ibrahim and his family were forced to flee to the south of Gaza, seeking refuge away from their beloved hometown of Gaza City. Amidst the chaos, Ibrahim lost friends, neighbors, and the tangible memories of his childhood home. The home that was built from the savings and dreams of his father and uncle.

Today, Ibrahim faces not just the challenge of rebuilding his life but also ensuring his father receives the necessary medication amidst severe shortages and blockades. The road to recovery is steep, marked by the need for basic human rights: safety, food, education for Ibrahim's 12-year-old sister and young cousins, and healthcare for his father.

إبراهيم الريس مواطن فلسطيني من قطاع غزة...... كان لإبراهيم حلم في حياته وهو أن يفتتح مشروعه الخاص وهو عبارة عن محل لصيانة وبيع الأدوات الكهربائية وتخصص فيه، دليلاً على حبه الشديد لهذه المهنة، لكن للأسف، منذ 5 أشهر، بدأت حرب شرسة في القطاع. غزة أدت إلى تدمير المتجر. وقد كلفه ذلك أموالاً طائلة، ودُمر منزل عائلته، ونزحت عائلته إلى جنوب قطاع غزة. لقد فقد إبراهيم العديد من أصدقائه وجيرانه بسبب القصف العنيف الذي ركز على مسقط رأسه في مدينة غزة. لقد فقد هو وعائلته بما في ذلك عمه كل شيء ولم يبق لديهم شيء. منزل طفولته الذي ادخر والده وعمه كل قرش له يملك. إسرائيل قصفت المبنى وذهب كل شيء في ثانية واحدة. كما أن والده يحتاج إلى دواء، وكان إبراهيم يعاني خلال الأسابيع الثلاثة الماضية من أجل إيصال الدواء لوالده بسبب نقص الدواء في غزة وبسبب استمرار الحصار الإسرائيلي هناك. لذا فهم يتطلعون الآن إلى بناء مستقبل أكثر إشراقًا حيث يعيشون بأمان ويتمتعون بحقوق الإنسان الطبيعية في الغذاء والتعليم لأخته البالغة من العمر 12 عامًا وأبناء عمومته الصغار والرعاية الصحية لوالده. الرجاء المساعدة في وصولهم إلى بر الأمان. كل تبرع يمكن أن يحدث فرقا كبيرا.
