Help Remember Rick Gonska's Kindness

Richard Gonska passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2024. He was so strong. He seemed invincible. We are all left in a state of shock. People that knew Rick will remember him as a trusted friend. Inside his rough exterior was a heart of gold. He was the guy that cried when animal welfare commercials came on TV. He was the guy that didn’t think twice about giving his jacket to a homeless man that was outside in the cold late at night. He was the guy that wouldn’t hesitate to come to your rescue if your car broke down, and then he’d help you fix it, cussing and swearing the whole time. He was the guy that always had your back. Rick was one of a kind. He had the craziest sense of humor. If you were feeling down, you could count on him to make you laugh. Just being around him, made things better. Rick used to say, “If you want to have a good friend, you have to be a good friend”. That is how he lived his life. What a great friend he was. Rick was a loving life partner. Rick and Annette met each other 13 years ago and never looked back. They supported each other through all of life’s ups and downs with playful banter and devotion that few people are fortunate enough to find. The love they shared was unconditional, without limits.
