Help Restore Dr. Patricia and Chris Wesley's Lives

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

I am reaching out today to ask for your help in supporting my incredible Aunt, Godmother, and role model, Dr. Patricia Wesley, and my Uncle Chris Wesley, whose home in Altadena was tragically destroyed in the recent Eaton fires. This house was not only their retreat but a hub of love and connection for our entire family. It was a gathering place for our family living on the east coast. It was where generations came together to share stories, laughter, and moments of joy. Now, after this devastating loss, we are asking for your support as they work to get back on their feet.

My Aunt Pat is the first doctor in our family and has been an unwavering source of inspiration to me and many others. A dedicated physician and a proud veteran, she has spent decades serving our community both in her medical practice and in her service to others. She embodies strength, compassion, and resilience. Her passion for caring for others, whether in the clinic or in her community, was the spark that ignited my own journey into medicine. Her legacy is one of healing, and now, as she faces the unimaginable, we want to help her cover unexpected costs not fully covered by other sources of aid.

The house that was lost was purchased in 1986, with the assistance of the GI Bill, and it has been a cornerstone for our family ever since. It was more than just a home; it was a gathering place where we shared fresh oranges from her backyard garden, stories passed down through generations, and memories that we will cherish forever. The house holds the echoes of our family's love and laughter, and it is heartbreaking to see it reduced to ashes.

My Uncle Chris works tirelessly for a local hospital, and together, they have always been pillars of support for others. Now, as they face the challenge of rebuilding their lives, I ask you to consider donating to help them get back on their feet. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward supporting them through this challenging time and ensure Black homeowners like my aunt and uncle are not pushed out of Altadena by the structural racism intertwined with federal and state emergency response.

Thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your support during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we can help the Wesley family recover and continue their legacy of caring for others.

With gratitude,

Dominique
