Help Robyn focus on her recovery

Hello, my name is Dee Boyd-Aslanidis, and I am an instructor at Atlanta Fusion Belly Dance Studios. On behalf of the instructors at AFBD, I am creating this fundraiser for our friend and dance sister, Robyn Parks.

 

On February 1, Robyn was unable to attend our weekly dance class. I learned the following day that she had suffered a stroke, and she was admitted into intensive care. Within a few days, her blood pressure had stabilized, and they continued to monitor her at the hospital for the next two weeks. Throughout this ordeal, Robyn remained positive - "a real trooper", her brother said.

 

She was eventually moved to in-patient rehab, where she thrived in daily physical therapy - on her first day, she walked with assistance. Her strong desire to get back to 100% motivated her to keep working harder each day. As a result, her condition continued to improve over the next few weeks.

 

Robyn is now home and well on her way to recovery. Her outpatient therapy has begun; she still faces challenges with her right side and needs some assistance to get around. Her bravery and strength are an inspiration to all of us. Her insurance has covered some things, and until she can get back to work, she'll need some help with expenses.

 

Many of her dance sisters have asked, "what can we do"? So we created this fundraiser to provide a way for her dance sisters, friends and family to help Robyn with expenses so she can focus all of her energy on getting back on the dance floor!
