Pushing past the goal for aftercare

Update; The goal has been hit but we are updating the goal for a bit just to keep the campaign open so that we can cover any unexpected expenses after the surgery and to make up for the loss of income my mom will suffer while she takes time off work!

We’re done with the campaign in terms of the emergency fund for the surgery but we’re just hoping to get a little bit more so she can rest easier and we can make our our ends meet with bills and what not! Thank You  


My mom and also my caregiver  is suffering from severe peripheral neuropathy in her left foot. Left untreated this will cause circulation death and gangrene, requiring her foot and or a portion of her leg to be amputated.  The consequences can be life-threatening. An infection that won't heal because of poor blood flow causes risk for developing ulcers and can lead to death if left untreated, but amputation significantly shortens the life span, with average survival time being 3.2 years.



And because she's my caregiver too, if she becomes unable to walk my own health may rapidly deteriorate, ( I suffer from cerebral palsy, diabetes, and spinal stenosis) and leave me unable to care for my own son

However, in my mom's case the doctors have caught it early enough to recommend Mesenchymal stem cell surgery, in effect using platelets to prevent further damage from peripheral neuropathy, giving her a far better outcome.

The surgical cost is about $25,000,l but Medicare will cover $20k, leaving my mother, who works part time as a nurse caregiver on her feet all day, to come up with the rest. Unfortunately she doesn't earn enough money to even begin to cover it.
