HELP SEPIA AS SHE FIGHTS COVID-19
Donation protected
The beautiful and brave Sepia Coleman recently contracted COVID-19 and is currently hospitalized. Sepia is a dedicated home care worker in Memphis, TN and a national leader in the Fight for $15 and a Union Campaign.
Despite the dangers of being an essential healthcare worker on the front lines during the pandemic, Sepia has continued to put her patients and clients first. Now it's time for us to rally around her as she fights to recover. Sepia is asking for your thoughts and prayers. She wants everyone to know that the virus is real and its impact on the body is devastating. She said to tell everyone "I'm going to keep fighting. We're in this together."
Home care workers like Sepia provide daily support services like bathing, toileting, dressing, and preparing meals for seniors and people with disabilities, allowing them to live with dignity and independence in their own homes. Sepia works hard to care for her clients, but like many home care wokers she lacks basic benefits including affordable healthcare and paid sick leave. In addition to being on the front lines of the pandemic, Sepia has also been on the front lines of fighting for home care workers to have a voice on the job by being able to form a union. It's time for us to come together and support her as she battles COVID-19.
The stress of fighting the virus and is enough. We are collecting immediate donations for Sepia to cover her bills while she is in the hospital. We are also collecting funds to help with medical bills she will be responsible for when she is released.
We will post updates as we get them.
We love you Sepia!
