Max's Story:

Max McGuire is a lifelong performer, singer, dancer, actor, teacher, mentor and beloved friend who is battling metastatic prostate cancer. He has always been there for us when we needed him, and now it's our turn to stand by his side during this difficult time.

While his doctors have still not made a final diagnosis, it appears almost certain that he has prostate cancer that has already spread to his hip bone and spinal column. Max has been compelled to regularly take powerful medications to help relieve his pain, undergone radiation treatments, sustained two broken hips, and is facing the physical and emotional toll that advanced cancer brings. Max's strength, determination and good spirits in the face of adversity have been inspiring to us all.

We are reaching out to Max's friends and family and beyond to ask for your support. The financial burden of medical bills, ongoing treatments, and care has become overwhelming. Many expenses are not covered by his health insurance. Because Max can only travel in a stretcher, just one trip by ambulance from the nursing home to his oncologist cost Max $1,200!
