Want to join me in making a difference? I am a high school junior looking to provide some level of support for the Yemen crisis. Due to COVID-19, unemployment has risen to the heights the States haven't seen in quite some time, so it is understandable if giving donations is difficult. However, having heard about this crisis through a friend instead of mainstream media hurt, given the numerous hurdles the Yemenis have faced. With that being said, regardless of whether or not you donate, sharing and making the world aware of their heartbreaking crisis is equally as imperative as donations. I'm raising money to benefit the Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Described as the "world’s worst humanitarian crisis" the Yemenis are in need of our help! "For nearly six years, it’s been locked in an intractable war that’s killed more than 100,000 people" with crucial food factories and businesses bombed calling for millions to be food insecure/at risk of famine.
"A million are suffering from cholera. A Saudi fuel blockade prevented water and sanitation systems from functioning in many towns. Millions are without adequate sanitation. Raw sewage has been flowing in the streets."
"Many Yemenis in the areas affected by the escalation of war have fled to safer places in other Governorates — resulting in over 3 million internally displaced people. "

The Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation’s aims to increase awareness of the US public and policymakers about the humanitarian crises underway in Yemen, and support relief and reconstruction, while facilitating peace campaigns. This Ramadan, our goal is to provide food baskets that sustain a family of 6 for one month. Our goal is to reach 1000 families.
