Empower Technological Accessibility - TailorTech

Hello everyone,

We are TailorTech, a dedicated team of 16 college students from Lafayette College who have come together with a shared vision: to bridge the digital divide and make technology accessible to everyone. Our startup, founded in February 2023, is in its pre-seed stage, but we are committed to making our product a reality.

Our primary product, the TailorTab, is a custom tablet that uses AI to help those new to technology learn at their own pace. We are proud to have a beta version of this tablet already created. The device's AI determines when a user has mastered a certain app, and suggests new apps for the user to try. Additionally, all apps are made in-house so every app contains the same familiar styles and formats. These styles and formats can be further customized in the Caretaker Portal, a website designed to allow loved ones to customize the styling, apps, and pace of new content on their loved ones' devices. The portal also allows loved ones to directly send pictures and videos to the TailorTab, track cognitive function, and engage in video chat.

We are proud to be working with faculty from the Lafayette College Psychology Department on a research project set to commence in Fall 2023. This research is crucial to understanding the needs of our users better and tailoring our product to meet these needs.

Psychological Research: We need funds to cover transportation and demo tablet costs. Your contribution will help us conduct this vital research and improve our product.

Developer Supplies: We need Android tablets to develop and test our software. Your contribution will help us ensure that our product is of the highest quality and meets the needs of our users.

Website Hosting Fees: Our website, https://tailortech.org/, is the primary source of information for our users and supporters. We have a functional website that we need to keep running smoothly.

GPU Rentals: Our product uses AI to help users learn at their own pace. To train our machine learning algorithms, we need to rent GPUs. Your contribution will help us improve our AI and make our product more effective.

Fiverr Designs: To supplement our UI/UX team, we need funds to hire designers from Fiverr. This will help us make our product more user-friendly and visually appealing.
