Help Erica Fight Cancer and take a DREAM NYC Trip
Donation protected
I want you all to meet our gorgeous, light-filled friend to everyone and co-worker at Image Surgical Arts, Erica Leffler. In May 2021, Erica was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer at the age of 33. At the time of diagnosis, cancer had already spread to the lymph nodes in her underarm. She has since undergone 16 chemo treatments, a double mastectomy which resulted in necrotic wounds and multiple surgeries to remove the spacers and allow her incisions to heal.
In February, Erica was set to begin radiation when new scans showed multiple tumors had developed on her brain and at the base of her spine. With this new information, her doctors updated her diagnosis to Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer with an additional diagnosis of carcinomatous meningitis. Devastatingly, she received a prognosis of 6 months. Erica is a fighter, though and refuses to accept that. She wishes to continue with treatment and explore any options available to her.
While fighting this giant, we want her to enjoy life and live big. We want to take Erica on her dream vacation to New York City while she can still enjoy it the way NYC should be experienced. We want to pull out all the stops for our girl. Broadway shows, a beautiful hotel, museums, and Central Park. Erica constantly gives and cares, regardless of what is happening in her world. She will check-in and do what she can for others. It's time for her to be on the receiving end of giving. She is warm; she is undeniably kind and loves life and the people in it.
Erica is working on getting involved with some clinical trials and treatments. In the meantime, if we can help ease the anxiety of mounting medical bills and treat her to the trip of her lifetime, we would be ever so grateful.
Also, if anyone has any information or resources to help Erica get the best available medical treatment and win this fight, please reach out to us.
