The Hits Just Keep on Coming - Urgent Help Needed

Hi,

My name is Tam Mahaffey. I have had a rough go of the last few months; on March 24th I informed my employer that I would need a few days off from April 29th to May 5th for gallbladder surgery. On the morning of March 27th, I was informed that I was being let go, not for anything in particular; they did not need me anymore. After some "persuasion," the employer agreed to extend my medical insurance through the end of May. (The job hunt began.) On April 29th I was admitted to the hospital for what was supposed to be a three-hour surgery and a couple of days in the hospital. Eight and a half hours later my family finally saw me. The surgery had not gone as planned. They were unable to remove my entire gallbladder due to its condition, during the surgery one of the surgeons had an instrument slip and a hole was punched in my stomach. I woke up with a tube coming out of my stomach, draining bile, and a surgical drain near my gall bladder. About three days later it was discovered that my white blood cell count was rising dramatically. A third drain was installed and I was put on IV antibiotics. On May 14th I was finally released from the hospital with all three drains.

Due to my health, I have yet to secure a new job.

I was informed a few days ago the house I am renting is being sold and I will need to move. I have found a new place but need to raise the money for the deposit and rent! I will also need to hire movers as I cannot physically perform the tasks needed to move.

Therefore, I am asking for the following help:

$1800 to cover two months of cobra insurance (One month has been paid for)

$3000 to cover deposit and first months rent.

$2000 to cover cost of movers and getting everything set up at the new home.
