Help teacher in car accident pay medical bills

Hi! I'm Monica Hansen, a friend of Katie Pecha. Katie was in a horrible car accident the Sunday after Thanksgiving. She was in the hospital for a month and will be using donations to pay hospital bills not covered by insurance. Katie is a teacher at a local elementary school in Lincoln, NE as a resource teacher. Katie was a passenger in a car that was hit by a driver in a truck that ran a red light. She was thankfully saved by airbags! Her injuries included a concussion, punctured lung, broken pelvis in 3 places, broken fibula, and a broken rib. She has had two surgeries already. She has been released from the hospital to her home. She has a therapist come two times a week and a nurse comes every three days. She is currently wheelchair bound and is beginning rehabilitation and relearning to walk. Doctors say that she should be back to normal within the year.
