Help the Ludwigs Honor Bradley's Memory

On the morning of May 30th 2024, Bradley Joseph Ludwig (53 years old) was in an apartment fire in the Smith building in Pottstown PA. Bradley was recovering from abdominal surgery, and had settled in his apartment from the emergency room due to an infection at the surgical site the day before the fire.

He sustained severe second and third degree burns on his whole upper body (45%) due to (supposedly) the cord of his electric lounge chair had caught fire. He was unable to get up and move from his chair to escape; he was awake unable to save himself. He was rushed to Lehigh Hospital burn unit and placed on a ventilator; unfortunately, due to his poor prognosis, his brothers Mark and Kevin Ludwig decided to withdraw care, and keep him comfortable in his last moments.

Our family is heartbroken. Brad had no assets, life insurance or money, and depended on state services to provide care for his chronic diseases and disabilities.

This is very difficult for Mark and Kevin; the family does not like to ask for assistance; they are in dire need of funds to for Bradley’s funeral costs (etc) and possible legal representation.
