Help the Rodriguez Family during Difficult times

Hello All! As many of you may know I just gave birth to Axton 6 weeks ago at 31 weeks gestation & he’s currently at the NICU in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia fighting a fatal diagnosis of Renal Agenesis & Multicystic Dysplastic kidney. After doctors have advised us of termination at 5 months pregnant we decided to go against the grain, have faith and fight for his less then 1% chance of survival. This required me to undergo an experimental weekly procedure where I would get Amnioinfusions to insert saline into my amniotic sac to help the baby with lung development as well as growth due to his one kidney not producing urine (amniotic fluid). Though it wasn’t guaranteed & involved many risks, we decided as a family it was worth the fight for his life. After 14 infusions, he decided to have an early arrival and arrived at 7 months with functioning lungs and proper growth development! His condition requires him to be on dialysis to survive until he’s old enough to qualify for a kidney transplant, along with other medical complications that require him to be highly monitored and treated 24/7.  We were expecting these serious complications and were ready to care, love and support Axton at having a chance at life, but we were unaware of the unfortunate circumstances ahead. We have been temporarily staying in Philly to be close to him during this journey, up until we heard news of my father in law having a stroke. That has had us in between hospitals both trying to support our son fighting for his life as well as our dad at the very same time. Sadly, Louie was called home to Heaven & we have lost him in the process of still trying to remain emotionally stable and strong for our son. This has caused us to come back home and be around to emotionally support my 8 year old daughter as well as my mother in law during this difficult time while the baby is at CHOP. With already feeling overwhelmed and no time to grieve our loss, I accidentally end up injuring myself by breaking a bone in my leg & tearing my ACL as well as other ligaments causing me to need emergency surgery. The doctor has informed me of the rough road ahead and the recovery process being a year at MINIMUM. Which will force me to be out of work for a long period of time. Though this story may sound unbelievable with all the traumatic events occurring one after another, these are the cards we were dealt. I am remaining as calm as I can be in a time of worry, grief & fear by trusting God has a plan for us. We would be beyond grateful for any donations that would assist with Axel taking care of our family ( Bella, Bailey & I), medical bills, finances and helping with the commute to see Axton in between my recovery/physical therapy. Thank you all & God Bless.
