Help the Stevens Family After Tragic New Castle Accident

On the night of Aug 21, a horrific accident in New Castle, Delaware, claimed the lives of 29-year-old Karisma Stevens and her 10-year-old daughter, Zamiyah. This tragedy occurred when a speeding driver, fleeing a traffic stop, ran a red light and crashed into their family's minivan. The impact was so severe that the minivan flipped multiple times, tragically taking the lives of Karisma and Zamiyah at the scene.

Karisma's other children, who were also in the minivan, survived the crash but were hospitalized with injuries. One of them remains in critical condition at Nemours Children’s Hospital. This unimaginable loss has devastated the Stevens family, leaving them to cope with both the emotional and financial burdens that come with such a tragedy.

Karisma was a loving mother and a determined individual who had recently completed a program at Colorado Technical University, earning her associate's degree. She had a bright future ahead of her, one that was tragically cut short. Her mother, Yolanda Urena, and the rest of the family are now faced with the heart-wrenching task of planning funerals, supporting the surviving children, and dealing with mounting medical bills.
