Help Tia & Jason Kinser Fight Cancer!!

Dear Family, Friends and Caring Community,

Tia and Jason are good friends of mine and what is happening to them is unimaginable.   In October 2020, Tia was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer. Just eight months later, in June 2021, Jason was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an incurable brain  cancer. As you can imagine, this is devastating for them, their three beautiful children and the entire family.

Over many years, they have shown their deep passion for teaching and commitment to helping our children. Tia is a grade school teacher in the  Fremont School District and Jason is a high school Special Education teacher in the San Lorenzo School District.

While they have insurance at this time, there will be procedures in the near future not covered by insurance and costs will be out of pocket. Additionally, they may not be returning to teaching for a while and their household expenses continue to mount. And, worse yet, their medical insurance will eventually expire if unable to return to work within a specific time period.
