Hello, my name is Marwan Abdel Hamed from Gaza. First of all, thank you for reading through our suffering and listening to us.

I have a wife and two darling daughters, who are the apples of my eyes.

I am a Software Engineer and work with a company to develop and test mobile applications. My wife, Razan is a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Skin Care Expert. Our lives before the war were full of warmth, fulfilment and happiness with each other’s company and our kids

We lost everything in this war. Our house was bombed. Our livelihoods were destroyed. We can’t work, we can’t live and there is no place safe for us to go. We are currently displaced in Rafah, living in a shelter, with barely any food or clean water. The threat of bombing is constant

As a father, I am scared for the safety of my children. Getting any food and essentials is highly expensive now. And without proper shelter, my kids keep falling sick in the harsh cold. There are no medicines to treat them either. All that we saved to build our lives and the future of our children was gone with this war. With nothing left in our lives, I am hoping to build a new one.

I do not want to see my family starving. I want our lives to go back to normal. I want my children to be happy and full of laughter, without any risk to their safety. I want to evacuate my family and give them a new chance at life.

However, the fees to evacuate are enormous. It takes up to $10000 per person and up to $5000 per child to evacuate to Egypt. We lost our savings, our sources of income and our house, and I have no money to evacuate my family to safety.

Even after evacuation, I will have to rebuild our lives from the start. We hope to raise some money to help us find some basic needs - food, a home, medicines and treatment that will be necessary after we evacuate.

Evacuation Fees for 2 Adults: $20,000

Evacuation Fees for 2 Children: $10,000

Ya Hala (Evacuation Agency) Processing Charges: $1500

GoFundMe Fee: €1450 (2.9%) + €0.28 every transaction (Approx. €560)

Western Union Transfer Charges (Belgium to Egypt): Approx. €100

The leftover funds will be used to help us find immediate relief and essentials after we evacuate.
