Help With Christie's Final Expenses.

Hello, most of you know me, I'm Jordan, Christie's daughter. For the past few months my mother had been feeling extremely ill, thinking it was the flu or a stomach bug so she didn't think it was urgent enough to go to the hospital. With everything going on with the pandemic, she didn't want to risk getting the virus. Early into January she started feeling worse and worse until eventually I felt it was necessary to drive up from jersey and bring her to the hospital. Almost immediately she was transferred to Community General from Rome Memorial for a GI specialist. She was started on constant dialysis in the ICU and it was determined she needed to be transferred again, this time to the down town campus of SUNY Upstate. There she faced a roller coaster of ups and downs and has now been diagnosed with liver failure and kidney failure. Her medical team has told us there is no longer anything they can do and Hospice is our only option. With constant medical care and support she would have around 6 months to live. This morning my mother decided that she no longer wanted to continue with dialysis because of the physical and mental toll it was taking on her body, as well as the excruciating pain she experienced. This decision turns her 6 month life expectancy to days or weeks. All of this is so unexpected and unfortunately this is nothing that we were prepared for emotionally or financially. My father, Keith, is in the hospitality industry and with all the regulations and restrictions from the pandemic he was laid off so we appreciate anything as it will all help offset the cost of cremation and a funeral. This is most certainly a shock to most of you, if you have any questions please reach out to me or my sister Hannah. Please say a prayer for my mom, we are going to miss her so very much.
