Our colleague and friend cellist Hong Wang was recently diagnosed with stage 4 malignant stomach cancer. Hong is a person of very high level of integrity, honesty, diligence, responsibility, loyalty, work ethic, positive attitude and sunny disposition. He is greatly respected and valued as a performer, teacher, colleague, and loyal friend.
Much of his cancer treatment is not covered by his health insurance. In addition, Hong has been the main bread winner for his family, he will not be able to work in the future six months while in treatment.
