When one of your own receives some terrible news, the desire to help kicks in. And this is our way of trying to help Dj Wayloop and his family cope with some life changing news.
on 19 February 2014, Wayloop's 10 year old daughter, Chelsea-Ann was diagnosed with a life threatening brain tumor after suffering some minor symptoms. Within 4 days of the diagnosis, Chelsea-Ann was whisked into Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham to be operated on. After a gruelling 10 hour operation and a biopsy, the family received the blessed news that the tumour was not cancerous. However, as a result of the tumour itself and the surgery, Chelsea-Ann has suffered with brain damage and in addition, the optical nerve is also damaged.
Chelsea-Ann was once a very happy girl with a bright life ahead of her. Now she has to take medication daily, and will likely have to for the rest of her life. She suffers from epileptic episodes and the most recent news was confirmation that her optical nerve will die resulting in full loss of sight.
Wayloop, Chelsea-Ann and the rest of the family has already suffered so much, but with this latest news, we at Urban Vybez Radio and Heavy Traxx Radio wanted to do something to try and help do something special to keep an 18 year old girl struggling through this news and her family.
Our main aim is to try to raise enough money to send Chelsea-Ann on holiday with her family. She has never travelled outside the UK before and her family would love for her to see somewhere outside of the UK before her sight fails giving her lots of happy memories to recall and replay in her head as she enters a world of darkness. We appreciate any and all contributions no matter how big or small.
