Helping Kelsey Corley through tough times

Dearest friends, family and caring community,

 

We have created this page in support of Kelsey Corley. Kelsey has been a server at The Chalkboard Restaurant for around 8 years. She is part of our restaurant family and we love her dearly. She is that person that is always dependable, cares about her coworkers, customers and the restaurant. We know and love her family like our own. Recently, she got in a car accident. Her brakes and steering went out and she hit a pole. She suffered from a severe lower back and ankle injury. As the doctors were checking her out, they discovered a large mass on her lungs. After further testing, they have come to the devastating conclusion that Kelsey has cancer on her lungs. They are currently continuing testing.

Kelsey is a 34 year old loving and devoted wife and mother of two young children. She lives an hour outside of Tulsa and commutes daily to work very early in the morning. Because of this, she misses out on morning routines with her little ones. Daily she finishes at the restaurant and makes it home to spend her evenings with her family. She is one of the hardest workers and does it all for her family. She is the glue that holds her family together. She is always striving to make a better life for her children. You can ask any regular customer and they would tell you that she brightens their day as well as gives them a hard time. She always has a smile on her face and remembers all that come through the door.

With school starting, her husband is taking over the responsibility of the kids, Kelsey and trying to work full time. Medical bills will start adding up in addition to just normal life and the Corley's could just use a little help.
