Helping our dog get the surgery he needs❤️

Hello family, friends and all dog lovers,

Our family dog Sky, has been having issues with his back right leg for about 8 months now. At first we thought he had strained a muscle and that he would just need to heal. Around 4 months ago, he started to have swelling in his knee, causing him pain/discomfort & a slight limp. We’ve taken him to the vet a couple times after and he was diagnosed with a torn ACL, caused from a luxating patella.

The doctors say this happens over time with pit mixes, and would only get worse.

They prescribed “Carprophen” which is an anti-inflammatory pill. He has been on the medication, but doctors have advised us that he needs surgery to repair his leg ASAP.

He is such an active dog and gets very anxious when he can’t get any energy out. He is not able to go on walks anymore, play fetch or any activity that could cause further stress on his leg.

When he does try to run in the backyard or in the house, he ends up tripping and crying because of the damage to the tendons in his leg. 

It pains us to keep him inside all day and see him in such distress. 

The total expenses for his surgery would be around $4,300

This is an unexpected expense for our family and we need a help coming up with the funds quickly to get Sky the care he needs.
