Hi. Our primary breadwinner has been laid Off

For the second time in three years through no fault of his own my spouse is out of a job. This time, his employer closed all US sites with no notice and not very much severance. This on the heels of me being unemployed for the entire pandemic means we were just catching up and now we are faced with this. Unemployment insurance maxes out at around 1600$ a month and I make about 2509 before taxes. Mortgage is 2600. It’s not complicated math to see that car payments, utilities, and other bills aren’t easily done on that budget, not to mention my place of employment closes during school breaks and I’m not paid for that time.

so we are super scared we won’t be able to take care of ourselves and worried about how long it will take to get work.
