Let’s Fund a Fallen Hero's Dream PLEASE READ

Hello. Please help us with a local fundraiser I am doing for a family related to me in Armenia, with a story that has touched and wounded my heart deeply. It is the story of a humble, kind-hearted home builder, a hero, and a fallen warrior who built homes for hundreds of people and couldn't leave a house behind for his own family.

Sedrak Levonyan, a 44-year-old home builder, rushed and volunteered to be a part of the 44-day war in Artsakh on September 29, 2020. He silently and secretly decided in his heart that it was his duty to protect his country and his people and that nothing could stop him or stand against his decision. On the last day before the bus arrived for his pick up, he informed his family of his decision and instantly left. He left his family with tears and sad goodbyes (as they were not ready for such a decision) and reassured them that he would return. Days turned into nights, and his family waited and counted the minutes of his return, not imagining what was yet to come.

On October 2nd, JUST 4 DAYS INTO THE WAR, the family got tragic news that their beloved Sedrak had been struck on the head from one of the explosive missiles, causing him instant death with major skull damage. Shaken by this news and shattered by the reality, the family was left with broken wings. Until this day and even forever ahead, the family mourns the tragic death of their young father who still had dreams of getting a house for the family and one day witnessing the marriage of his two children, Mher and Anahit alongside his beautiful wife, Nazeli.

He was such a nice man that everyone who crossed his path had something nice to say about his character. This story was extremely heavy on my heart; I wanted to help. I talked to the 2 developers working with him on his last job, a condominium Development Complex called Harmonia Center, in Malatia, Yerevan. He had expressed to the developers that it was his dream to one day own a a small Unit in the building for his family. After meeting with the developers, They expressed their intentions of helping Sedrak's family and they agreed to give the family a 2 Bedroom Unit at their cost, with no extra charges. The money raised will be going towards the purchase of the unit officially under his wife’s name, materials and finishing the construction, labor and furnishing the home.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Because GoFundMe does not directly work with Armenia, the initial transfer of the money will be done in the United States, to the trusted source Karapet Arutyunyan, who directly works with the bank in Armenia. The money will then be transferred to the lending bank of the condos under the wife’s name, Nazeli Miquaelyan, in Armenia.

In addition, the developers are going to dedicate a water fountain with Sedrak's name in front of the building since he played such a crucial role in building these condos.

I truly believe collectively, we  can help this family, little by little. Nothing will ever bring their father back, but their father will rest in peace knowing that his family was left with a roof over their heads.

Please let's come together and share, post, repost, and donate anything we can to make his dream a reality. I don't ask you to do anything big, but whatever you are comfortable with will go a long way. Collectively with every small amount, we can reach our goal and gift the family their new home. I will post pictures of the family, his past projects, his war photos, and when the time comes and we reach our goal, I will update you all with images and photos to show how you played a role in helping this wonderful family out.

All funds collected will directly go to the bank of the developers to pay for the 2 bedroom Unit, who will later create the Grant Deed under their family name.
