Honoring Albina: Support Her Family's Needs

Hello, My name is Monica Szelachowski on Thursday May 30th my beloved mother in law Albina Szelachowski suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke. She was sent to Tacoma General ICU where they tried everything to bring my mother in law back to her vibrant self. Situations got worse and as a family we decided to bring her home on hospice. Albina passed away in the comfort of her home with her loved ones surrounding her late Sunday evening of June 16th. Albina would always say, “Sundays are meant for resting.” All of this from the Stroke to her passing was unexpected. My in laws had no plans in place for this situation as my mother in law was 72, and showed no signs of really slowing down. We are trying to raise money for funeral and memorial costs to relieve the burden of my grieving family. Albina is a devout Roman Catholic and we would like to give her the burial she would have wanted, and to give a little peace for my grieving father in law Henry.

Many friends and family know my mother in law as a hard working woman that was very giving. If you ever came to visit their farm you never left without something from her garden and usually never left with an empty stomach. Albina was passionate about natural living and loved to share her knowledge of raising goats, chickens, gardening, and herbs.

This women I got to see several times a week as we are neighbors and my kids revered her and loved her dearly, as do I. It’s not easy to write this. May God bless you for donating and or even sharing this.
