Honoring SSG Chageza, Fanuel: Support His Final Journey

We invite you to join us in honoring the life and legacy of Staff Sergeant Fanuel Chageza, loving husband, a dedicated father of three and a proud veteran who selflessly gave to his country. Fanuel recently passed away tragically. As his fellow service members we are seeking help on behalf of his family, to carry out his final wish and repatriate his remains to his homeland, Zimbabwe.

Fanuel was more than a remarkable soldier; he was a beacon of joy, known for his ever-present smile, boundless kindness, and infectious laughter. He was the life of the party, a great dancer, and a friend to many. Fanuel’s dedication and spirit extended beyond his service; he was an avid runner, known for his exceptional speed, defying age with his athleticism.

As an OH-58 Kiowa mechanic, and Apache mechanic and Instructor, Fanuel served his country with pride and excellence. He completed tours in Afghanistan, South Korea, and Alaska, showcasing his unwavering commitment to his duty and his comrades. His skills and dedication were instrumental in ensuring the safety and success of countless missions.

In the words of Florent Groberg, who shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, "Fanuel Chageza was not just a comrade but a brother. His energy, his smile, and his kindness were unmatched. He served with honor and lived with passion. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten."

Fanuel's legacy is one of love, service, and joy. We are asking for your support to ensure that he receives the honor he deserves by bringing him back to Zimbabwe for his final resting place.
