Honoring Roy: Support His Legacy

In honor of my beloved son Roy, who was 8 years old, I want to share his story and the profound impact he had on our lives. Kissing my Roy goodnight on June 13, 2024, was a heart-wrenching moment but his spirit and legacy live on. As we remember his life and the joy he brought to me, his two siblings, and our family, we are establishing a memorial fund to continue and celebrate his life. Diagnosed with Dandy-Walker Syndrome and Hydrocephalus early in my pregnancy. Roy faced immense challenges from the very beginning. Despite doctors urging termination due to fluid-fill cysts on his brain and skull abnormalities, I chose to continue, believing in his strength.

Roy was born on June 30, 2015, at 6lbs. and 8 oz., faced daily obstacles. Amidst these challenges, he found joy in making sounds, kicking while lying down, and listening to music. His resilience and joy taught me to cherish every moment with him.

His journey inspired me to advocate for children with Autism and special needs, leading to the creation of the Heart of the Brain Foundation.
