Honoring Selamawit: A Peace Maker's Legacy
Donation protected
Selamawit Asmelash Mebrahtu is a recent immigrant of United States of America. She immigrated to USA with her three young adult kids. Selam was born on April 20th ,1968. She was first born of our beloved late father Asmelash Mebrahtu and our beloved late mother Mahliet Tesfu.
Not too long after immigrating to USA, because of complicated health issues, after staying in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for almost a year, we are saddened to inform you that Selamawit has joined her parents in heaven on June 18th, 2024.
The name “Selamawit” in her native language means “peace” and if only one thing is true about Selamawit, it is that she is a peace maker. Just her smile was enough to make you feel peaceful when communicating with her. She had a patient of a Saint and a fighting spirit of martyr.
She will be missed by her husband, her three beloved kids and siblings.
We thank you for your sympathy and support of our beloved mother and sister.
“I have fought the good fight, I have Finished the race, I have kept the Faith.
