Honoring the Legacy of Clement Lake

Dear Friends and Family,

On Friday 14th June 2024, our beloved Father and Grandfather, Clement Lake, tragically passed away due to a devastating accident at work. He was 73 years old and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family.

Clement was not only a father and grandfather, but also a seasoned skipper with 25+ years of experience at sea. In addition to this - he worked in construction, truck driving and traffic control as well as his own handyman business. Despite his retirement age, he continued to work due to the necessity to support himself and his family amidst financial challenges.

The circumstances surrounding Clement's passing have left us all in shock and disbelief.

It is particularly difficult given many members of our family are interstate or overseas at this unfortunate time.

While we await official details of the accident, we are now faced with unexpected financial burdens. We need to cover upfront costs for his funeral arrangements and honor his final wish to have his ashes spread at sea, a fitting tribute to his lifelong love for the ocean.

Clement was known for his selflessness and willingness to help others in any way he could. Whether it was fixing a car or lending a hand with repairs, he was always there for those in need. His generosity touched many lives, and now, as a community, we have an opportunity to support his family during their time of grief.

This period is incredibly challenging for our family. The suddenness of the accident has left us numb, and the reality of organizing a funeral while managing the practicalities of a life cut short is extremely overwhelming.
