Hotspots for Education

We are the teachers to a community of middle school students who show up everyday to be taught through distance learning. We are a school that is considered high needs, based on the socio economic status of our students. One thing about this status is, it does not stop our students from wanting to learn, from showing up everyday through Zoom, from being kicked out of zoom because of a bad wifi signal, believe us, these students desire that learning and that connection with their teacher and other classmates.
Right now we still have students that are waiting to be connected to us. We are a large district, and with the number of students we have you can imagine the wait time for them to get a hotspot. We need our students to get connected as soon as possible to their class, teacher and assignments.
Our school is special, we have a dedicated staff, we have dedicated families who continue to support us and their students in every way, and we have students who show up to distance learning on a daily basis. What we need most of all is for all our students to get connected to reliable internet so they can log in and connect with their teachers and their friends and fellow classmates. Do we provide hotspots? Yes, but with a two week turnaround on receiving them, that is two weeks of learning lost. This is why we are asking for help and for donations so we can purchase:
200 Hotspots @ $50.00 each
200 50gb cards for each hotspot @$20 each.
Extra gb cards for students 50 @ $20 each.
We hope to get these funds as soon as possible so our students can get connected to their classes sooner rather than later. We appreciate everyone's committment to education, our teachers, our parents and our students. It is a different time in education and we need to make sure our students are learning whether it is on line or in person.
