it has come to this...
because of this pandemic that we all are experiencing, piccolo's business has dropped over 75%. we have been reduced to pickups & deliveries but there has not been enough business to keep us operating much longer. we thank all of you for your tremendous support who have ordered from us, some several times, but we are now very close to closing the doors.
piccolo has continued to try to stay open to offer you, our valued customer, a dining option to get out of the house, take a drive, talk to someone else outside of your home & eat something different. initially, our prices were reduced 25% across the board only to have them increase again as food costs have gone up at an astronomical rate, with limited supplies.
we have strived to continue to offer you our fresh, high-end, high-quality approach to food service & execution that you all have been accustomed to.
the restaurant business as a whole operates on such small margins as it is. rent, salaries, food costs, utilities, insurance, credit card fees, etc. have had no decreases; in fact, we recently received a shut-off notice from one of our utility providers & 2 cost increase letters from other companies!
over the years we have developed great relationships with customers like yourself, who not only have remained as consistent customers, but have also become dear friends & part of the piccolo family.
i have always said that piccolo is like the little engine that could, where we have kept "put-putting along" for the past 5 years inspiring others that with hard work, determination & a loyal following, the "little guy" can achieve success & be around here for years to come; sadly, the reality of it all ending, is near.
