Hunter Clark-Home Repairs Due to Shooting Incident
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Andrea Smith. On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, my nephew Hunter Clark was involved in a terrifying shooting incident in Spruce, MI. That afternoon Hunter's neighbor open-fired on his home for no apparent reason. Police suspected the man was mentally ill, and he took his own life that same day.
Hunter was home at the time and had to seek shelter in the basement as bullets flew past his head. While on the phone with 911, Hunter switched to text communications with them because he thought the neighbor had entered his house. Amazingly, he wasn't physically injured, but he has been traumatized by all of this. Buckshot peppered Hunter's house, vehicle, trees, and windows, doing significant damage. Bullets went straight through the house, entering the front window and exiting out the back. Windows, walls, siding, furniture, garage doors, and his vehicle are some of the items damaged. The man had shot so many rounds that the police lost count when collecting the shotgun cartridges.
To make matters worse, Hunter didn't have vandalism coverage on his homeowner's insurance.....so they will not pay for any of the damage. Hunter is a very hard-working and proud 21-year-old. When we mentioned doing a fundraiser, he didn't want any part. When I explained that people would like to help and that he could someday pay any acts of kindness forward he changed his mind. Winter is coming and we need to get these repairs done right away on this home.
