Hypospadias Chordee Surgery

Good day, our son Gideon was born on October 16, 2021. He is such a blessing to our family. Before we were discharged to leave the hospital the pediatrician has to do a full physical on the baby. While doing the physical she noticed his penis was different. After further examination it came out to be he has hypospedia ( A condition in which the opening of the penis is on the underside rather than the tip.) chordee ( a congenital condition (birth defect) resulting from abnormal development of the penis. In chordee, the penis usually curves downward) with a hooded foreskin (where the foreskin of a boy is wide open). the opening of his penis is on the bottom left and is about the size of a pin needle. This surgery is needed to prevent the hardening of his bladder from having to push his urine out which in turn could ruin his kidneys.
