Psychiatric service dog
Donation protected
I am now coming out for the first time publicly that I have bipolar. This is something that I have been struggling with silently for a few years now. I have struggled with major depression the majority of my life and have just been diagnosed a few years ago as bipolar 2. I have been trying different meds since I have been diagnosed. I have done a lot of research and came across service dogs for bipolar and depression. I have the approval from my doctor to get a service dog but the initial cost would be too much for my family. A service dog would be trained to remind me to take my meds, alert me when a manic or depression episode starts, help calm me with my anxiety and depression. It's not a cure but it would help manage my bipolar.
