I am deeply aware of the trying times we're going through. I truly hope this message finds you all well.
I've got a couple of confessions to make. Once the pandemic hit, my creative juices took a nosedive. I completely shut down. The last time I wrote was August of last year and I can't remember the last time I made a video.
Things have changed tremendously for me and I finally got my wind back. A lot of you have been asking me for years now why haven't I created a podcast. I didn't think that that space was for me and considering how saturated it is, I didn't want to delve into another highly competitive medium, but now I'm going for it. It'll be part (half video, half podcast) of OTRTC (On the Road to Consciousness).
The endeavor is daunting, but with your help I can do this. There are so few of our voices out there that have gained prominence—mostly of people who look and sound nothing like us. They have hundreds of thousands, millions of followers, thousands of subscribers to their channels and make a pretty penny from contributions. Many of them received a lot of help from their loved ones and privilege. Unfortunately, I don't have any of that. Fortunately, I have you. You have shocked me time and time again with your generosity, with your love, with your approachability, and consideration. And, for that, I am eternally grateful.
I've come once again to ask you for a favor. I need to raise enough funds to buy studio gear. It's expensive for one single person, but if you all can pitch in whatever you can (no amount is too small nor too large LOL), we can help me launch a one of a kind show or a complete disaster or both. One thing is for sure, I will continue to bring my unapologetic insight, humor, heart, genuity, and a couple of cuss words. I can only be me.
I am attaching here screenshots of all the equipment I'll need. I did a lot of research for this so rest assure it'll be top-of-the-line.
As always, no obligations, but since we follow each other (be it through blood, chosen family, email, channel, blog subscriptions...), there's a mutual interest in seeing each other more than survive—I want us all to thrive. And as you all know, you help me thrive and I'd also like to think that I do the same for you.
