In loving memory of Arkadiusz Solowinski

Donation protected
The sudden and unexpected loss of Arkadiusz has left behind a wife, Elzbieta, and two beautiful children, Justyna and Alexandra. Arkadiusz was the primary wage earner, so in addition to coping with the loss, his family must also figure out their financial future. Therefore, we ask that you donate any amount to help this family in their time of need. Below is the eulogy that his youngest daughter, Justyna, wrote.

Eulogy

Where do I even begin with my dad's life? How can you summarize such a great man's life in five or ten minutes? You can't. There are no words that could possibly explain my father's greatness. I can still see his light in the darkness, warmth in the coldness, and his steps in his garden. He's not truly ever really gone, as long as our memories of him continue to live on, with our hearts and our smiles. I can still smell his clothes, and I can still hear his voice when picking blueberries, his blueberries, the ones he nurtured and watered till the very end. Even after he left the hospital, in his last few weeks, he kept the grass growing and the blueberry buds blooming. Every plant, tree, and blade of grass was respected in his garden. But even as he took care of every living creature in his yard, he shared an even greater love for his community. He was an astonishing man, as he never forgot about the people that surrounded him in everyday life. He was grateful for every one of you, as he gave each and every one of you a room in his heart. His heart was filled with so much love, not only for his community, or his friends, but also his family. He always had an enormous amount of love for his sisters, whom he adored very much. My dad always kept in touch with his mom, whom he always loved and respected. Along with my grandma, my dad had given a large portion of his heart to my mom 29 years ago on December 25th. Two days apart, my dad was born on September 3, 1965, and my mom was born on September 5, 1965. They were soulmates; they were meant to be together forever. He loved her to the degree that I cannot describe with words. They certainly had their difficulties in life, but as they promised each other 29 years ago, they would be together "for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death". My dad's actions were never dictated by a drive for money or materialistic needs. He would always give up his happiness for the sake of others, and there was not a selfish bone in his body. I will never ever forget the greatest father and person that I ever had.

How lucky we all were to have known this remarkable man and experienced kindness like no other. Thank you for all that you left us with. Your legacy will live on through your family and loved ones.
