In Loving Memory of Bert Armstrong (my Dad)
On February 21, 2021 my father passed away after a brief hospital stay.
My mother, who has worried about finances my whole life, is now devastated both emotionally and financially as there was no life insurance to help.
As my health has always been poor, I have not been able to work outside of the house. We now have to shut down my fathers small home-based business where I worked, leaving me unable to help my mother pay the rent, and we will no longer be able to afford our home & have to find a place that is less expensive.
Since his passing, my mother has been receiving outpourings of love, support and stories of how much he meant to everyone he encountered. He even seemed to be a favourite of the nursing staff. The nurse who stayed with us in his final moments, told us of how he was cracking jokes, even before his emergency Heart Surgery. He always had a great sense of humour and loved to make people laugh.
My father had a great love for his faith and his family. He was kind, caring and always ready to help anyone who needed it. In the last few years, he had rekindled his love of photography and enjoyed helping others improve their skills as well.
Many have asked how they could help, & it was suggested that we start a fund. Any donations would be used to clear my mother’s debt and to help with ongoing expenses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, but by no means expected.
