It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cosimo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend to many. Cosimo's kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and his generosity touched the lives of everyone around him. A man of tradition and respect, he left a lasting impression on his community through his family values and his passion for the natural world.

Cosimo's journey was marked by profound courage and resilience. After triumphantly battling rectum cancer, he faced lung cancer with the same fierce determination. Despite these challenges, Cosimo's spirit remained unbroken, drawing on the strength that saw him through his daughter's tragic battle with non-Hodgkin's cancer, which she bravely fought until her passing in 2004.

Cosimo took immense pride in his grandsons, Cosimo and Gianluca. He was not only their grandfather but their role model and best friend, deeply involved in their lives and always eager to impart wisdom and share moments of joy.

Having lost his own parents back in Italy, Cosimo formed a special bond with his in-laws, Teresa and Rocco, upon making Canada his home. He cherished this relationship, understanding the irreplaceable value of parental figures, and treated them with the utmost love and respect.

Cosimo ran a popular coffee truck, where his unique horn and delicious coffee brought people together, creating a community of friends who became family. He was an avid gardener, proud of the beautiful sanctuary he nurtured, and he found joy in sharing the harvest with others. His pets, including his talkative yellow-headed parrot, George, and his loyal dog, Ringo, were a source of great happiness and companionship.

Above all, Cosimo adored his wife, Silvana. Together, they were a team—inseparable and strong, sharing moments of laughter and love in the kitchen and the garden they so tenderly cared for together. He instilled in his sons, Vince and Rob, a profound sense of duty to family and tradition, teaching them to stand by their mother and honor the values he held dear.

As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, we are reaching out to the community for support in funding Cosimo’s funeral and memorial services. This fundraiser will also help alleviate the financial burden his family faces during this difficult time, allowing them to honor him without the strain of additional stress.
