Emily's Mobile Retail Boutique

Donation protected

Life has a funny way of working things out. Back to the drawing board and found something along the way that is tiny but MIGHTY.
Smaller package with a bigger bang for the buck.

I have been involved with my sister's needlepoint shop Nashville Needleworks for the last 5 years. The time I have spent at the shop has been a tremendously wonderful experience which I do not want to end. However, my sister, the owner, is selling her store.

After some research I discovered that there is an entire world of Mobile Retail Boutiques traveling the country to events, festivals and private parties.

My experience in the Needlepoint world has shown me just how important creating a craft and working with your hands can be. What an escape, a needed retreat that can be managed in just a few minutes a day. My intent with this vehicle is to become a fabulous mini traveling needlepoint boutique along with crafts made from artists around the country who may not have an venue for their works.
Nashville breeds great talent of not just musicians but painters, jewelry makers, leather works and so much more.

The more artists I meet locally the more I see that they can create beautiful work but lack the venue in which to sell their work.

I plan on merging Needlepoint and artist’s work together in my Mobile Retail Boutique.

The entire concept of the Mobile Retail Boutique world is to set up a shop at least 100 miles from a regular brick and mortar shop so as not to compete with any local shop owner.
That is the key to being successful with this program.  My plan is to carry one single line of thread for the canvas work and manage a small trunk show at each location with a focus on the small canvas and refer shops closest to where I park as to build the Needlepoint world and customer base.

This vehicle is ready to roll, not a thing to be done but load merchandise and go!

This business is ready to go with just a little funding
I would be grateful for any donations of course.

Thank you all for your support, Artists, Designers, stitchers and friends.

I will keep you all posted on Face Book with all of the progress with pictures and details.

With much appreciation,

Emily
