In memory of Nicholas Brown ( nick)

Friday 17th May 2024 15:30 I recieved a phone call from my daughter to say police were at my front door, I explained I'm on my way home. Not even two minutes later my daughter rang again " mom police said they will collect you". I was near enough home at this point. Pulling in to my street, I seen a police officer leaning up his car.

The minutes that followed I was definitely not prepared for. " we are very sorry to have to say this Nicholas has been found deceased today"

I will never forget that moment

Let's go back in time though

30th April 2023 was the very first time we seen each other, unfortunately for Nick he drew the short straw in driving the mini bus up to Manchester airport with 23 of us ahead of our flight to Orlando. 23 passengers which involved cheerleaders singing justin bieber at 8.30am is they any wonder nick put his ear phones in.
We stayed in touch after my return from Orlando as the cheerleading club liked Nick and how professional and polite he was, and would like Nick to be the driver again.
Unfortunately, we did lose contact due to my own personal life back in September, and in January this year, we got back in contact.
15th January was the day we decided we had feelings for each other and wanted to give things ago.

It wasn't an easy relationship. They were issues surrounding it, but we were trying to defeat the odds.

I saw a very different side to Nick that I was told about. Nick was loving and caring, and he put others before himself. He would always put a smile on my face, he was like a big child around my children.

He absolutely loved his planes and buses, he would say to me about what plane is arriving at ema and I'd be clueless.

Unfortunately Nick's mental health started to deteriate rapidly. Myself and some friends helped Nick seek help which he did, but things took a dark turn.

Friday 17th May in the early hours, Nick went to the one place he felt safe, his comfort, the place he would go to when he needed to clear his thoughts, Attenborough nature reserve, and that is where Nick lost his battle.

Nick sadly taken his own life. This impacted so many people around him.

I'm doing this fundraising to try and give Nick the send off he deserves. Any money left over I will split between his children and MIND charity.
