Donation protected
Hi I am fundraising Jelani who was Tragically Taken by Leukaemia at Just 32: on the 25th May 2024.
Please Help Bring Jelani Body Back Home to Grenada for a Final Family Farewell, Allowing His Mum to Give Her Son the Dignified Funeral He Deserves

I am Sharon Simms from London, UK, and I am more than a friend to the Mitchell family. Jelani was like a son to me; his mother would always refer to me as his 'second mum' and ask, "How's our son?"

To my daughters, he was like their brother.

Jelani was dear to us all, and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

His passing has left a void that can never be filled.

Jelani Mitchell was Born in Trinidad but grew up in Grenada when his family moved there as a child.

Jelani was a respectful young man, full of life, charismatic, and charming.
He had immense respect for elders, always addressing them as Miss, Mrs., or Mister.

He always Greeted you by asking “Are You Good?”

He was a handsome young man with a huge, radiant smile that could light up the darkest rooms.

When he came to England in his late 20s, he carried the same hopes, dreams, and aspirations that we all did as young adults, dreams we wish for our own children.

An energetic and ambitious soul, Jelani desired to be a successful interior designer. Leaving his mother & sisters in Grenada, he embarked on a mission to pursue his desires as an interior designer in the UK.

Sadly, he didn't get to complete his intentions…

He was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of AML leukaemia and passed away at the young age of 32, just a few weeks ago.

Please help us return him home to the bosom of his family in Grenada so that his mum can lay him to rest and give him the dignified farewell and funeral he deserves.

The funeral parlour, which has offered this package deal includes, embalming his body, flying him home in a coffin, and airline expenses for of £5,000 is the best quote we have found.

Me, and my family the Simms just don’t have the disposable funds to do it alone without your support.

So we humbly ask for your help to fulfil this wish; any contribution, large or small, would be graciously received.

No mother should outlive her son, but in these painful circumstances, please help us at least get him back onto home soil to his mother, & siblings.

Jelani's family in Grenada do not have the means, or resources, but they are rich in love for their beloved son and brother.

As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child," his family and entire loving community will come together so that they can give him a dignified farewell funeral.

We just need your help to get him there.

We understand that this is a difficult time for many, but any contribution, whether big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Graciously and humbly, from my heart to yours,
Thank you!
