Jerry Grimes II

Hi, I’m Kim Mills, and I’m fundraising for my brother, Jerry Grimes. He has been physically unable to work for almost a year now. He can’t drive, and barely walk. He had an accident where he barely survived and lost his spleen. Additionally, he has polycythemia, a rare blood disorder that makes it difficult to heal. He had a spider bite a couple years ago that was not healing on its own and due to the blood and no spleen, is not healing and has spread to his entire lower leg. He makes weekly or bi-weekly trips to the wound care center and has blood draws every week. Due to not working, he has depleted his bank account to nothing. I have been paying his bills but am finding it more difficult to pay for two households. My parents drive him to appointments and it has been stressful for everyone. Jerry typically sits around because he can’t physically do much. I am worried about what will happen to his leg, but more importantly, I am concerned about his mental health.
