Jesse Suarez Memorial Funds (by the family)
Donation protected
It is with deep regret and an unthinkable sorrow that we share the news of our youngest brother’s passing. Jesse Suarez left us on Monday September 27, 2021.
Our family spent the last few days putting together Jesse’s final arrangements. Unfortunately, yesterday, we received news that the administrator/beneficiary on his $50k Life Insurance Policy refuses to allocate the necessary funds to pay for the funeral services. In its entirety, these services total $6,500. Our family has already paid for the reception and all additional costs, and as a result of this last minute and unexpected decision to leave the remainder of the burial costs to our family, we are now in a position where we must humbly ask for your financial support for his burial services.
We recently became aware of other GoFundMe efforts, with my brother’s name on them, with all proceeds going to the widow. But to be clear, at the time of his passing, they were separated, and she had filed for divorce. It has been made clear that we will only get the minimal financial support required to receive my brother’s ashes and death certificate. Hard for us, his family, to stomach being left with unpaid bills, being forced to crowd fund, all while efforts are being made to raise money, none of which is being allocated to the remaining debt of his final arrangements.
Considering his Life Insurance Policy, savings, and expressed indefinite support for his children from our family, we’d like to make sure we prioritize laying him to rest respectfully—and as he would’ve wanted—before raising funds via sources that are misleading in detailing Jesse’s estranged relationships in order to garner support.
Our sole intention is to put our brother to rest with honor and respect and to give his family and friends a chance to bid him a final farewell. Therefore, we humbly ask that if you have any inclination to give, you choose to donate to his family. The monies will be used to cover the remaining cost of the services.
All remaining funds will be put into a college account for his two children on behalf of the Suarez and Gambe families, and the contributors to this GoFundMe.
Thank you.
