JJ Hospital Bill

This is my first Gofundme for any of my birds. It's rather difficult for me to do this. I dislike asking for help, but at the beginning of 2021, I told myself that I would start reaching out to others in times of need - so here I am, Birdhists. I need some help with JJ the Lovebird's medical costs.

After my old car going POOF right before a big move, this has left my emergency fund/savings substantially reduced. I try to be responsible with money, but as most of us know, life has its unexpected storms. Some of you know I've had my share these past few years. T^T

After calling multiple local avian vets this past Saturday, to no avail, we rushed Hilda the Sassy Lovebird's wife, JJ 2.5 hours east at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston for egg-binding issues. She must have wanted to show off her egg-making skills to Hilda by forming this sumo-baby of an egg (it's infertile).

The kind doctors at the hospital waited 48 hours, hoping she would pass her egg on her own, but did not. They were forced to extract it yesterday by making a booty incision. After anesthesia, she seemed to be perking back up, and we were excited to hopefully pick her up today, but this morning she's not as spunky as we were hoping, and there's some bleeding going on.

There's still hope for her to rebound, that's why we're asking for them to do whatever is needed.

She's the most enthusiastic, loving little bird, that stole the heart of Hilda, the most sassiest of lovebirds. Hilda misses her, we miss her, we very much want her back at PEEK BIRB and I think JJ is capable of that with the observation and care of the hospital vets.

We're up to $1,800 right now, it may escalate higher due to continued treatment, of which the estimate is available via email, not an actual invoice yet. I just have the original quote in paper-form. I like being transparent with people when money is involved. I swear by the honor of Cody, that I will post those once I have them.

If you have the means to help, it would mean the world to me if you would. If you don't, I understand 100%. If you could do a share of this fundraiser, that would mean just as much.
