Joey Edwards - Fighting against Osteosarcoma

Hi, my name is Amy DiPaolo, Joey Edwards' Aunt. Together with Joey's sister, Madison Edwards, and family friend Lisa Schenkel, we are running a Go Fund Me campaign to help with the expenses involved in Joey's treatment. For those of you who don't know him, Joey is a Junior at North Hunterdon HS in Clinton, NJ. Joey is a student-athlete and a member of the National Honor Society. Joey was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in February 2023. Osteosarcoma is an aggressive form of bone cancer that mostly affects children and young adults. It often occurs in the bones in the arms and legs and Joey's tumor started in his knee. Joey has been going for chemo treatments for months and has surgery to remove the knee tumor next week. Unfortunately, the cancer is elsewhere in his body, so the treatments will continue after surgery. Joey and his family have been very grateful for the people who have reached out and have offered support.

We wanted to create this account to provide a platform for anyone that would like to help the Edwards Family. The funds will go directly to them to help facilitate his care at home and any uncovered medical expenses. We will update the campaign, based on the expenses that they are facing. These donations will help his parents to stay home & care for Joey as well, which they have been doing for some time. Joey is surrounded and supported by his devoted parents, siblings Dominick & Madison and his extended family. We want them to be able to focus 100% on Joey and not mounting expenses.
